A dinner in the “cucina antica”

“The best way to get in touch with new places is to experience its cuisine” it’s been said and we couldn’t agree more! Let us invite you to a family luxurious dinner around the wood big table together with old and new friends in the traditional kitchen of our Country Boutique Hotel Su Lithu. A one of a kind location which reminds of once upon a time genuine family life. A wood burning oven warms the atmosphere while the skilled hands of our chefs prepare the porcheddu (suckling pig), the meat slowly roasted in the spit and the pecorino arrosto, the cheese melted on the pane carasatu, the traditional Sardinian bread. Everything is washed down by the strong Cannonau wine generously produced in our vineyards.

A walk in the Countryside

If you wish to live a slow experience in Bitti, surrounded by the unspoilt nature, the countryside walking experience organized by the Country Hotel Su Lithu is worth a choice. You will visit our family vineyard, in the rural area of Sa Preta Ruia. Here you will have the chance to harvest the fruits of our countryside, walk among the lush fields and taste our wine made by the grapes local varieties Cannonau (red wine) and Vermentino (white wine).

A lunch break in the vineyard

A lunch break in our family-run vineyard makes you feel part of the family. Here is the generous vegetable gardens from where the Boutique Hotel su Lithu picks up the fresh seasonal products used in our kitchen. Let us guide you around our Sa Preta Ruia vineyards and live the experience of a one of kind lunch outside in the nature: that’s the so called spuntino alla sarda (in the Sardinian definition the word spuntino meaning  snack in Italian, turns out to be a feast).

The cooking class

Attending one of our Cooking Class is a great way to learn tricks and tips of Sardinian cuisine. The best training for a curious guest! Our cookery classes take place in the old traditional home kitchen of the Country Hotel Su Lithu. You will learn how to cook some of the most delicious Sardinian dishes and discover gastronomic pairing both traditional and experimental, bringing home our chefs secrets. During the cooking class you will touch Sardinian culture with hand while socializing and having fun.

The escape to the shelter

If you’re curious about experiencing a slow experience in touch with nature, we strongly recommend you our escapes to the shelter. Leaving from Su Lithu Country Boutique Hotel you will arrive in the wild area of Crastazza, at about 1000 metres above the sea level, home to the Regional Natural Park of Tepilora. Here you will be astonished by a unique landscapes revealing enchanted paths and unconventional routes where colours and scents are those of the pristinest nature. If you wish to make the magic last further, you can spend a night in the shelter. You only need a sleeping bag and the magic is on.

The wine cellar experience

The best way to experience the village of Bitti strolling in its narrow streets in a tasty way is to visit  the amazing “Tziu Tineddu” wine cellar (uncle Tino). The location is in the center of the village where the wine cellar stores majestically the vineyard’s products thanks to the ideal conditions of temperature and humidity. Don’t miss this spot to get in touch with the authentic local life of Bitti and taste a great wine, of course.
